Wild mango butter is extracted from the seeds of wild harvest mangoes that are grown in African Atlantic rainforests. Mango butter is a very protective lipid with antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antiviral properties. It is rich in vitamins A, C and E, and is soothing and restorative.
The foundational lipid in this nourishing balm is organic, golden jojoba; a liquid wax that is cold pressed from the seeds of the jojoba shrub. Very similar to our skin’s own natural sebum, the liquid wax esters in jojoba extract deliver phytonutrients deep into the layers of our skin, helping with moisture retention and elasticity. It is rich in nutrients, vitamin E, and many phenolic compounds. Because it is a liquid wax (rather than an oil) with low levels of triglycerides, jojoba does not readily oxidize. This makes it a perfect choice for all skin care preparations.
The CO2 extract from organic sea buckthorn berry lends a bright, orange-gold color to this serum, as well as a potent dose of healing nutrients. There are over 190 bioactive substances within this extract that work synergistically to reduce inflammation and water loss in our skin cells. Vitamins C, E, A , B1, B2, B12, antioxidants, and a wide variety of carotenoids (including beta carotene) help to support healing and relief from many skin conditions, including acne and eczema. It is also known for helping to nourish sun-exposed skin.
